Innamech is another project for Jimmi Carr. Samantha Rich (aka Sammy Psyborg) features on the 1st 2 releases but has since departed from band. Original and accessible, Innamech is a project designed to push genre boundaries. The sound is a mix of live and electronic instrumentation and has been described as Progrocktronica.

Jimmi and Sammy met at the University of western Sydney where they both recently completed a music degree. During their time together at uni they wrote and performed acoustic and electronic music, which laid the groundwork for the expanded practice and genre subversion that they are working on in Innamech.
Innamech launched their debut single “The Line” in October 2014. Since then “The Line” has received airplay on radio stations around the country including Triple Z in Brisbane and PBS in Melbourne. They have played shows at festivals including Winter magic in the Blue mountains and Psyfari festival as well as smaller venues such as venue 505 and Oxford Art Factory in Sydney.
In 2017 Innamech released debut full length album “Bordertown”. The 3 singles and two video clips from the album have received extensive airplay. Violet Barrett briefly replaced Sammy in support of the album launches.
Jimmi is currently working on new material which is a little more straight ahead than the experimental Bordertown. He plans to collaborate with a number of musicians, both live and in the studio in the near future. All releases available now at http://www.innamech.bandcamp.com and pretty much everywhere you can buy music online. Check out the new single, ‘Devil Silhouette’ below!
